Elijah Craig Small Batch Barrel Proof is a twelve year old Kentucky straight bourbon, here from batch C922. It was matured in new charred white oak and bottled at cask strength, 62.4% or 124.8 proof, in a 70cl bottle.
The nose brings vanilla, maple syrup, toffee, speculoos biscuit and coffee. The palate starts firmly, with a creamy texture and flavours of oak, dark chocolate, vanilla, burnt caramel, red fruit and pepper. The finish is long, with dried fruit, oak, ginger and clove.
