This is a Kentucky straight bourbon from Heaven Hill, bottled at 47% ABV (94 proof) in a 70cl bottle. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colouring.
It is a small batch bottling, made by marrying selected casks, and it matures in new charred American white oak barrels. The name honours the man often called the Father of Bourbon.
The nose brings vanilla, dry hay and leather, with orange peel and allspice. The palate is full and harmonious, with dates, dark chocolate and sweet oak. The finish is long and dry, with cocoa, tobacco and a hint of citrus.
