Elijah Craig Straight Rye (47%)

Elijah Craig Straight Rye is the brand's first rye whiskey, made in the USA. Its mash is 51% rye, 35% corn and 14% malted barley, and it is distilled in the same way as the Elijah Craig Small Batch. The brand is named after the Reverend Elijah Craig, who is credited with creating bourbon in colonial America. The nose gives dark chocolate, spice and smoke. On the palate the spice carries through, joined by honey and oak. The finish is long and lingering.
