This is a 2023 Langhe Nebbiolo from Elio Grasso, made from the young Nebbiolo vines of the Gavarini cru in the Ginestra MGA at Monforte d'Alba. The south-facing vineyard has calcareous limestone soils and lies 350 to 380 metres above sea level.
In 2023 no Rüncot Riserva was made, so all the fruit that would have gone into it went into this wine instead.
It shows kirsch, strawberry, cedar, mint and chalk, with a charming, clearly defined style.
