Eredi Fuligni 2018 Brunello di Montalcino (75cl)

Eredi Fuligni Brunello di Montalcino 2018 is a Sangiovese red from the cool northeastern side of the Montalcino appellation, where the family has farmed vineyards since the 1970s. Roberto Guerrini's approach rests on very low yields and several sorting passes at harvest. In 2018 the family chose not to make a Riserva, so the best fruit from four vineyards, San Giovanni, Il Piano, Ginestreto and La Bandita, all at 380 to 450 metres, went into this bottling. About 35,000 bottles were made. The wine shows wild fruit, cassis, crushed stone, candied orange, fresh herbs, rosemary, rose and iris root, with smooth, balanced intensity and silky, well-managed tannins.
