This Evan Williams is a Kentucky straight bourbon from a single barrel, bottled at 43.3% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It has no added colouring. The whiskey was distilled at Heaven Hill on 28 October 2016 and matured for eight years in fresh American white oak. The barrel was chosen for bottling in November 2024. The name honours Evan Williams, regarded as Kentucky's first licensed distiller.
On the nose there is vanilla, burnt caramel and orange peel, with fine oak and light spice. The palate is soft, with toffee, ripe apples, cinnamon and nutmeg. The finish is long, with vanilla, sweet caramel and a little oak.
