A barrel-proof Kentucky straight bourbon from Heaven Hill in Bardstown, bottled at 117.76 proof (58.88% ABV) in a 750ml bottle. It marks the 250th anniversary of Evan Williams' original distilling operation, and the proof is a nod to 1776.
Each bottle is left unblended from a single barrel, chosen by the Master Distiller from 250 barrels. The mash is 78% corn, 10% rye and 12% malted barley, matured in new charred American oak with no water added after ageing.
Caramel and vanilla bean lead the nose, with toasted oak and baking spices. The palate is dark caramel, butterscotch, brown sugar, cinnamon and black pepper. The finish is long, with spice, charred oak, cocoa and sweet vanilla.
