This is the 2024 Willamette Valley Pinot Noir from Evesham Wood, a winery founded in 1986 by Russ Raney in the Eola-Amity Hills and owned by Tom and Erin Hewitt since 2011.
It is a blend of fruit from named vineyards, including Illahe in Polk County, Mahonia in the Jory hills south of Salem, and Eola-Amity Hills sites such as Prophet, Koosah, Jubilee and the estate's own Torres Hill. Several of these also supply the winery's single-vineyard bottlings.
The nose is bright with cherry, red apple, fresh flowers and a touch of loam. The texture is creamy and silky, balanced by juicy acidity.
