Fernet Ulrich - Marolo (70cl)

A concentrated amaro from Marolo, with a decided yet composed aromatic profile. The nose shows herbal and balsamic shades, bitter herbs, a touch of citrus, a light liquorice note and a more resinous undertone. On the palate it keeps a balance between bitterness and softness, with a rounded body and a clean, persistent finish that is sapid and slightly tannic. It is suited to serving chilled or over a large ice cube as a digestif, or used sparingly to add complexity to cocktails. It pairs well with dark chocolate, aged cheeses and rich, savoury dishes.
