FEW Smashing Pumpkins Bourbon Whiskey with Madame Zuzu's Midnight Rose Tea (75cl, 46.5%)

This is a limited-edition bourbon made by FEW Spirits of Evanston, Illinois, in collaboration with the Smashing Pumpkins. It is bottled at 46.5% ABV in a 750ml bottle. The base is FEW's four-year-old straight bourbon, made from 70% corn, 20% rye and 10% malted barley. Instead of water, it is proofed with Midnight Rose black tea from Madame Zuzu's Emporium, the tea shop run by Billy Corgan and Chloé Mendel Corgan. The label describes it as straight bourbon whiskey with tea. The nose shows ripe honeydew, vanilla and rose water over sandalwood and caramel. The palate is smooth and aromatic, with rose, lemon peel, orange candy, spice, black tea and vanilla. The finish is long, as tea-driven rose gives way to gentle oak spice.
