Finlaggan Eilean Mor is a peated single malt from Islay, bottled after maturing in bourbon casks. It is made by the Vintage Malt Company.
The name comes from Loch Finlaggan on Islay, which holds three small islands. Eilean Mor is one of them, and was once the seat of the Lords of the Isles.
The nose is sweet peat smoke with medicinal notes and a pinch of sea salt. The palate is full and oily, with peppery peat smoke, tar, iodine and sweet malt. The finish is long and smoky, with ash.
