Finlaggan Islay Cask Strength is a smoky single malt from Islay, bottled after maturing in bourbon casks. It is made by the Vintage Malt Company and takes its name from a loch on the island.
The character is markedly peaty and salty, with a light elegance and maritime notes. The nose is intense and direct, fresh and airy. The palate brings plenty of smoke, sweet peat and fresh citrus fruit, and the finish is long and warm with a touch of spice.
