Fleurieu 3 Year Old Batch 2 is an Australian single malt from Fleurieu Distillery, bottled by That Boutique-y Whisky Company for its Return to Oz collection, introduced in 2023. It spent three years in an ex-Apera cask named Mary Ann Watkins and is made from peated malt. Apera is the Australian name for sherry-style wine. Bottled at a natural cask strength of 65%, it yielded 428 bottles, without chill-filtration or added colour. The illustrated label shows a runaway steam train breaking through the gates of the distillery's former railway shed, with a dropbear along for the ride. The nose offers sweet plums, dark toffee and roasted nuts with gentle smoke and iodine-tinged peat. On the palate, raisins and figs lead to salty malt. The finish stays sweet and spicy as the smoke fades.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
