Forty Spotted Wild Rose is a Tasmanian gin made in small batches in Hobart. It is distilled in copper pots with Tasmanian native botanicals and fresh rose petals, balancing local and exotic ingredients. The name comes from the Forty Spotted Pardalote, a rare bird found only in Tasmania.
The nose is soft rose petal with citrus and a little spice. The palate is smooth and layered, with candied citrus, gentle botanicals and a hint of pink pepper, the rose never overpowering. The finish is crisp and clean, with lingering floral notes.
