Fox & Oden Straight Bourbon Whiskey by Jos. A. Magnus (75cl, 49.5%)

Fox & Oden Straight Bourbon is bottled by Jos. A. Magnus at 99 proof, or 49.5% ABV, in a 750 ml bottle. The Fox & Oden range was designed to honour Joseph A. Magnus's pre-prohibition blending skill. This small-batch expression blends bourbons of 8 and 15 years old, made with both 21% and 36% rye mash bills. The nose is butterscotch, fig and nutmeg. On the palate, salted caramel gives way to smoky, charred oak, leather and baking spices, with a little tobacco. The finish is medium in length, with oak, orange zest and a note of almond bitterness.
