Frederiksdal Sur Lie Kirsebærvin (50cl, 14%)

Frederiksdal Sur Lie is a Danish cherry wine in a 50cl bottle, made purely from Stevnsbær cherries grown in the estate's plantations, mainly Skælstrupmark and Nielstrupmark. The wine is a blend of several vintages, all aged in French oak casks of 225 to 450 litres for at least six months, some of them considerably longer. It also rests on its lees, a method best known from Champagne, which gives a richer, fuller and deeper wine. Younger vintages add fresh, fine fruit, while older ones bring more complex notes. It suits dark chocolate, marinated berries and cakes, and keeps well for one to two weeks once opened if stored somewhere cool.
