Gabriel Boudier Josie Framboise (75cl, 20%)

Josie Framboise is a French raspberry liqueur from Gabriel Boudier, a Dijon house founded in 1909. It is bottled at 20% ABV in a 75cl bottle. The fruit comes from both Scotland and Burgundy. The raspberries are frozen straight after harvest, then macerated six times a year to keep them fresh, before distillation and blending. The Scottish fruit adds brighter, tart notes and the Burgundy fruit a rounder, riper character. The nose is full of fresh raspberry with a gentle sweetness and subtle floral hints. The palate is rich, with cherry-berry preserves and a creamy texture, and the finish is long and velvety. It can be served chilled as a digestif or used in place of cassis in a Kir Impérial.
