Laguna Madre is Garrison Brothers' oldest bourbon, and the 2026 release is its seventh annual edition. It is a Texas straight bourbon from Hye, bottled at 101 proof in a 75cl bottle, with 3,000 bottles made this year.
The whiskey is eight years old: four years in American oak, then four in French Limousin oak. The name and mission tie to FlatsWorthy, a coalition of Texas anglers working to protect the state's coastal waters, and each release has raised funds for that cause.
The nose has white chocolate, root beer, candied almond, vanilla bean, sweet cacao, dark caramel and toasted oak. The full-bodied palate brings dark cherry, oak spice, cocoa and cinnamon, and the finish is creamy, long and warming.
