Repeal Reserve Series VI is the 2022 limited edition bourbon from George Remus, bottled at 50% in a 70cl bottle. It is a blend of five bourbons aged since 2008 to 2014, put together to mark the repeal of Prohibition on 5 December 1933.
The nose has rich candied fruit with a hint of nutmeg and saddle leather. The palate brings candied fruit and fig jam, then oak and barrel char, mint, a little caramel, nutmeg, toffee and honey. The finish balances sweet candied fruit with leather, with lingering sweetness and rye spice.
