A Canadian single malt aged 10 years, made at the Glenora distillery on Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia. The distillery was founded in 1990 and is regarded as the first single malt distillery in North America. Its copper pot stills come from Scotland.
The whisky matures in American white oak casks, in warehouses surrounded by apple trees. It is bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle.
The nose offers orange, spice, chocolate, honey and vanilla, with fine hints of tobacco, maple and cherry. On the palate, fruity notes meet chocolate, hazelnut, maple syrup and cherry. The finish is long and soft, with a fresh touch of apple and ginger.
