Glen Breton 19 Year is a Canadian single malt whisky from Glenora Distillery in Glenville, Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia. It is double pot-distilled from 100% malted barley and aged 19 years in American oak. Glenora is Canada's first single malt whisky distillery. The whisky won a Silver Medal at the 2024 World Whisky Awards and was named Best North American Single Malt Whisky at the 2023 LA Spirits Awards. It is bottled at 43% ABV in a 750 ml bottle.
Tasting Notes
Warm honey and butterscotch, then toasted oak, dried apricot and subtle floral notes, with baking spice, old leather and gentle woodiness
Bright orange zest and clean pine freshness, then honey sweetness, lemon zest, hazelnut, cedar wood and cracked black pepper, with maple undertones
Long and smooth, with lingering cedar, toffee and dried fruit, ending on warm spice and honey
