Glen Breton Rare is a Canadian single malt from Glenora Distillers in Nova Scotia, aged for 10 years and bottled at 43% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It was the first single malt whisky legally distilled in North America.
The whisky is made in copper pot stills and matured in American oak barrels.
The nose is light and floral, with apple orchard freshness, delicate honey, soft malt and fresh herbs. On the palate come orchard fruits, toasted grain, vanilla and a gentle nuttiness. The finish is smooth and drying, with oak, spice and barley sweetness.
