GlenAllachie 12 Year is a Speyside single malt Scotch whisky from the distillery near Aberlour, bottled at 46% in a 75cl bottle. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colouring.
The whisky is matured in a mix of first-fill and second-fill ex-bourbon barrels, virgin oak, Pedro Ximénez sherry casks and Oloroso sherry casks. Billy Walker acquired the distillery in 2017.
The nose opens with dark chocolate, treacle and heather honey, then cinnamon, espresso and raisins. The palate is soft, with marzipan, apricot, baked apple, mocha and butterscotch. The finish is medium to long, with leather, dark chocolate, white pepper and buttery vanilla.
