This is an 18-year-old Speyside single malt Scotch whisky from GlenAllachie, bottled at 46% in a 750ml bottle. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour.
The maturation draws on Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry casks alongside American and virgin oak.
The nose brings vanilla pod, butterscotch, toffee sauce, cinnamon and cocoa, with honeycomb and dark cherry emerging later. On the palate, marzipan and sultanas lead into dark chocolate, wild honey and maraschino cherry, with a full, oily texture. The finish is long and warming, with dark chocolate, dried fruit and a return of cherry and marzipan.
