GlenCarrick 10 Year Old Claxton's

GlenCarrick 10 Year Old is a small batch release from Claxton's, part of its Core Range introduced in autumn 2024. It was matured in a mix of sherry casks and ex-Islay whisky casks. The name comes from the long-closed Glencarrick Distillery, whose ruins lie not far from Claxton's Dalswinton Estate in the Scottish Lowlands. The nose shows stewed apples, rich spice, marzipan and carob. Spice leads on the palate too, with sweet oak, a little clove and vanilla, and soft peat smoke. The finish brings nutmeg and oak with lingering spiciness.
