Glendalough Double Barrel is an Irish single grain whiskey, bottled at 42% in a 70cl bottle. It is made from grain and malted barley.
The whiskey is matured in two stages: first in ex-bourbon casks, then finished in Oloroso sherry casks.
On the nose there are apple and blackcurrant with vanilla and a little oak. The palate brings soft caramel and vanilla alongside restrained spice, and the finish is lasting, with nutty notes, spice and a light touch of oak.
