Glendalough – Pot Still Virgin Irish Oak

This Glendalough pot still Irish whiskey is a single cask expression finished for up to a year in virgin Irish oak casks, a wood the distillery describes as exceptionally rare. Each bottle is numbered and can be traced to its cask and even to the tree the oak came from. The nose is rich with dark fruit, cherry, raisin, fig and Christmas pudding, alongside floral lemongrass, citrus and a touch of nutmeg. The palate is sweet and smooth, with butterscotch, honey, peppercorn, dried fruit, maraschino cherries and brown sugar. The finish brings ginger spice, a little almond and earthiness.
