GlenDronach Ode to the Valley is a Highland single malt inspired by the Forgue valley in the East Highland hills. It is bottled at 46.2% ABV in a 70cl bottle, non-chill-filtered and with no added colour.
The whisky was matured in a combination of port casks from the Douro valley in Portugal and Spanish sherry casks. The port brings rich fruit, while the sherry adds spice and sweetness.
The nose offers late summer berries, milk chocolate cream, demerara sugar and apricot glaze. The palate has ripe blackberries, baked apple crumble, gingerbread and sweet plums. The finish is long and fruity, with blackberry and apple crumble and a touch of gingerbread spice.
