Glenfarclas 10 Year Old is a single malt from one of Scotland's few family-run distilleries. The distillery stands on the moors of Banffshire, about a mile from the River Spey, and takes its water from springs on Ben Rinnes.
Glenfarclas matures its malt almost entirely in sherry butts, kept in 28 on-site warehouses holding 52,000 casks.
In the glass it is sherry-sweet and malty with delicate smoke and subtle spice. Dried fruit, vanilla, cinnamon and cloves follow, and the finish is long, smooth and spicy.
