Glenfiddich 16 Year Old Aston Martin Formula One Team Limited Edition is the second release from Glenfiddich's partnership with the Aston Martin Formula One Team. It marries whiskies matured in first-fill bourbon barrels with others from fine wine and fortified wine casks, and is bottled at 43%.
The whisky is then finished in sequence in Port pipes, Oloroso sherry casks and wine casks, with a final rest in Fino sherry butts.
The nose has rich stewed fruit with floral top notes, marzipan and polished leather. The palate is mellow and silky, with creamy toffee sweetness, caramelised cane sugar and dry oak tannin. The finish is long, with oaky sweetness.
