Glenfiddich 18 Year Old is a Speyside single malt from the Glenfiddich distillery in Dufftown, bottled at 40% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is matured for 18 years in ex-bourbon and Oloroso sherry casks.
Afterwards it is married in small batches of no more than 150 casks, each batch numbered individually. It is not chill-filtered.
The nose brings dried apple and pear, baked cinnamon, soft leather, oak and honeyed sweetness. The palate is smooth and full-bodied, with dark fruit cake, marzipan and gentle spice, moving to European oak and toasted nuts. The finish is long and warming, ending dry with cocoa and seasoned oak.
