Glenfiddich 23 Year Old Grand Cru is a Speyside single malt from Dufftown, bottled at 40%. It was matured for 23 years in American and European oak.
It is then finished in French cuvée casks, of the kind traditionally used for sparkling wine. The bottle belongs to the Prestige Collection.
The nose is fresh brioche, ripe white peach, sandalwood and sugared almond, over floral blossom and vanilla. The palate brings crème brûlée, baked apple, lemon tart and light spice. The finish is long, with toasted oak, sweet pastry and orchard fruit.
