Glenfiddich 26 Year Old Grand Couronne is a Speyside single malt from the distillery's Grand Series. It matured for 26 years in American and European oak, before selected parcels moved to French cognac casks for an extended finish that adds toasted oak sweetness, café crème, brown sugar and soft spice.
The nose is lively, with toasty oak and French pastry notes of Tarte Tatin and buttery choux. The palate is velvety and sweet, with café crème, soft brown sugar and a hint of spice. The finish is very long, with sweet oak.
