Glenglassaugh Revival was the first bottling released from the distillery after it reopened in 2008, and it first appeared in 2012. This single malt is bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle, without colouring or chill filtration.
The whisky was matured first in ex-bourbon and red wine casks, then finished for six months in Oloroso sherry casks.
The nose brings red plums, toffee, spiced honey and praline, with a dusting of cocoa. On the palate there are waxy orange, mocha, yellow plums and walnut, and the finish carries ginger biscuits, aromatic oak, wine tannins and coffee.
