This is an 18 year old Highland single malt from Glengoyne, bottled at 40% ABV in a one litre bottle. Its casks are mostly sherry: 35% first fill European oak, 15% first fill American oak, with the other half made up of hand-selected refill oak casks.
The nose brings red apple and ripe melon, leading to hot porridge with brown sugar. The palate is full and round, with macerated fruits, marzipan and walnuts, then warm spices, dry cocoa and Seville marmalade. The finish is long, warm and dry.
