Glengoyne 18 Year Old is a Highland single malt matured for eighteen years, with a generous share of first-fill sherry casks. The cask recipe is 35% first-fill European oak sherry, 15% first-fill American oak sherry and 50% hand-selected refill oak.
It is medium gold in the glass. The nose is red apple and ripe melon, drifting into hot porridge with brown sugar. The palate is full-bodied and rich, with macerated fruits, marzipan and walnuts, then warm spices, dry cocoa and Seville marmalade. The finish is long, warm and dry.
