Glengoyne 18 Years is a Highland single malt bottled at 43%. It was matured for 18 years, with a generous proportion of first-fill sherry casks. The distillery describes its distillation as the slowest in Scotland.
It is medium gold in colour. The nose brings red apple, ripe melon and fresh banana, drifting into hot porridge with brown sugar. The palate is full bodied, round and rich, with macerated fruits, marzipan and walnuts, followed by warm spices, dry cocoa and lingering Seville marmalade.
