Glenkinchie 12 Year Old is a Lowland single malt from Scotland, bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. It belongs to the Classic Malts range and is counted among its mildest and lightest members.
The distillery lies close to Edinburgh, and visitors can see the worm tubs used to cool the spirit. Limited copper contact gives mild aromas with a distinctive character.
The nose is fresh and mild, with vanilla, apple and honey and plenty of grain. The palate is very light, with vanilla, pear and apple, and a gentle mix of lemon balm and peppermint. The finish is long and slightly bitter, leaning towards citrus peel.
