Glenkinchie 'The Floral Treasure' is a 27 year old Lowlands single malt from the 2023 Special Release series. The distillery's Malt Master took inspiration from the porcelain of China's great dynasties, and this is the oldest Glenkinchie bottled by the distillery.
It matured in refill American oak barrels and European oak butts and is bottled at natural cask strength, 116.6 proof (58.3% ABV).
The nose is lightly floral and grassy, with fresh orange juice moving towards apple juice, then flaked almonds and light vanilla. The palate is smooth and airy, lightly sweet, then citrus and fruit, drying with an oaky spiciness. The finish is medium in length, dry and spicy.
