Glenkinchie – 12 Year Old Single Malt Whisky (70cl, 43%)

Glenkinchie 12 Year Old is a Lowland single malt from the East Lothian distillery, bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. It is often called the "Sunday dram". The whisky was matured in a mix of refill bourbon and sherry casks, which gives it a little oak structure while keeping the freshness of the spirit. The nose combines wildflowers, sweet barley, fresh-cut grass, lemon peel and a touch of marzipan. The palate is light and crisp, with green apple, pear, honeyed malt and creamy vanilla custard. The finish is clean, with soft malt, citrus and a dry floral note.
