This is the 2021 Distillers Edition of Glenkinchie, a single malt Scotch whisky from the Lowlands. It comes in a 70cl bottle at 43% ABV.
The nose is fresh and delicate, balancing sweet and dry. Soft, clean grape notes bring a drier edge, while malted barley and oak add a sweet, nutty character.
The palate starts dry, with a biscuity sweetness at the front. A big malt flavour contrasts with the finer fruit of the grapes. The finish is very long and dry, with oak and a faint pepperiness that adds a little spice.
