Glenkinchie – Distillers Edition 2017 (70cl, 43%)

A Lowland single malt from Glenkinchie, bottled in 2017 from batch G/290-7-D, in a 70cl bottle at 43% ABV. As a Distillers Edition, it has a second maturation in casks that once held fortified wine. The whisky spent ten years in a refill cask before moving to an Amontillado sherry cask for its second maturation. The nose is balanced between sweet and dry, the palate has a good malt flavour, and the finish is long, dry and oaky.
