Glenkinchie Distillers Edition is a Lowland single malt in a 70cl bottle. It spent 10 years in old Bourbon casks, which give weight and texture, before a finish in Amontillado sherry casks from the Macharnudo district of Jerez.
Glenkinchie is more usually a lighter-bodied, aperitif style of whisky. Here the sherry finish has added body and some of its nutty character. The whisky is described as delicately sweet.
