Glenkinchie Double Matured Distillers Edition is a 12 year old Lowland single malt, distilled in 2006 and bottled in 2018 at 43% in a 70cl bottle.
It is double matured, with ex-bourbon and Amontillado sherry cask influence, which gives Glenkinchie's grassy, delicate style a nuttier, drier and more structured profile.
Vanilla, fresh grapes and nutty malted barley appear on the nose, with a touch of oak. The palate starts with pastry sweetness before turning drier and malty, and the finish is very long and dry, with spicy oak and subtle pepper.
