Glenmorangie 16 Year Old The Nectar is a Highland single malt that spends its first 14 years in bourbon casks, chosen for their silky depth and creaminess. It then has two further years in casks that held sweet white wine, which add richness and complexity.
The nose is of baking brioche, baked apricot, vanilla pudding and toasted almond, with hints of chocolate truffle. The palate is rich and sticky, with honeycomb, orange syrup and brioche, balanced by gentle spice and lemon zest. The finish is long, with lemon rind, fresh bread and a touch of honeycomb.
