Glenmorangie – Signet (75cl, 46%)

Glenmorangie Signet is a Highland single malt from Tain in Ross-shire, bottled at 46% in a 75cl bottle and non-chill filtered. Its character comes from chocolate malt barley, roasted at high temperature to a coffee-like intensity and used alongside the standard barley. The distillery selected some of the oldest casks in its warehouses for the maturation. It carries no age statement. On the nose there is dark chocolate, espresso, orange, crème brûlée and dried fruits. The palate brings rich mocha, praline, candied orange peel and warming spice, and the finish is long, with chocolate and coffee.
