Glenmorangie A Tale of the Forest is a single malt in a 70cl bottle at 46% ABV. It is the distillery's first whisky made from barley kilned with woodland botanicals: juniper berries, birch bark and heather flowers, in an old method that Director of Whisky Creation Dr Bill Lumsden brought back. Illustrator Pomme Chan drew the forest artwork that appears on the pack.
Gold in colour, it has a nose of pine, juniper and coriander with roasted chestnut and a little smoke. The palate brings peppermint, eucalyptus and bitter orange over vanilla and black liquorice. The finish is slow, with lemon, orange and a soft hint of oak.
