Glenmorangie – A Tale of the Forest Limited Edition (70cl, 46%)

A Tale of the Forest is a limited edition single malt from Glenmorangie, and the first Glenmorangie whisky made from barley kilned with woodland botanicals. It is bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. Dr Bill Lumsden, Glenmorangie's Director of Whisky Creation, revived an old method of kilning barley with botanicals, choosing juniper berries, birch bark and heather flowers. The illustrator Pomme Chan created a fantastical forest for the pack artwork, inspired by the whisky's flavours. The nose is of pine, juniper and coriander with wisps of smoke. The palate offers deep-green eucalyptus and bitter orange, leading to a slow, gently oaky finish.
