Glenmorangie – A Tale of Tokyo (70cl, 46%)

Glenmorangie A Tale of Tokyo is a limited edition Highland single malt at 46% ABV, in a 70cl bottle. It was inspired by Dr Bill Lumsden's travels through Tokyo and created under his direction. The whisky is aged in a combination of bourbon, sherry and Japanese Mizunara oak casks. Mizunara is described as rare and difficult to work with, and it gives this release an incense-like character. The nose is bright and fragrant, with sandalwood, cherry blossom and citrus peel over vanilla and soft smoke. The palate pairs honey and toffee with green tea, pepper and oak spice, and the long finish carries almond, orange zest and gentle spice.
