Glenmorangie – The Cadboll 15 Year Old Batch 2 (70cl, 43%)

This is a 15 year old Highland single malt from Glenmorangie, bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. It is the second batch of The Cadboll Estate, created by Dr Bill Lumsden and named after the Cadboll Cup, a wine cup kept for generations at the distillery's Highland home. It is made only from barley grown in the fields around that home and distilled in Scotland's tallest stills. The whisky was aged in first-fill American white oak ex-bourbon casks and extra-matured in French barriques that previously held wines such as Muscat and Sémillon. The nose is creamy vanilla candy with orange blossom, ginger and cinnamon, alongside poached pear in syrup and zesty lemon.
